Internet Data for MBHS Teachers’ Online Schooling

The pandemic season necessitated the school, Methodist Boys’ High School, to begin online classes for the students in order to keep school activities going and the students busy while at home.

To do this, the school had to ensure the teachers were equipped with all the necessary tools to enable them deliver the classes. A significant part of this was having internet connectivity.

So, in response to the need, the MBHS 95 Set deliberated and took the decision to assist the school management to offset some of the costs incurred in providing the teachers with data. On Friday the 19th of June, representatives of the Alumni’s executive committee visited the school to present the School Principal with a cheque of ₦90,000.00 only, as a subsidy towards the data provision to the teachers.

The school principal was glad and appreciative of the gesture, stating that the funds will be channelled appropriately. He also mentioned that, since inception of the online schooling, only about two parents had made contributions towards this cause, and therefore, the funds were coming at a very good time.

We encourage all members of the ’95 Alumni Set to continue to play their part, especially in the aspect of ensuring their annual dues are paid promptly, as this ensures that the Association has funds to continue to give back to our Alma Mater, as well as attend to other administrative and welfare-related causes.

Lastly, we wish to thank all you have contributed thus far, making such an initiative possible. We pray that your source will continue to be replenished.
